Jose Vargas Ton, L.Ac.
Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine

About Me

Jose Vargas Ton graduated with his Master's Degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from the Arizona School of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine after acquiring his BS in Psychology from the University of Arizona in Tucson. While pursuing his degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, he shadowed several well-known licensed acupuncturists in Tucson before returning to his hometown in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, to provide health services to the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.

During his youth, Jose spent part of his childhood between clinic and hospitals, both in the United States and in Mexico. He underwent more than 20 surgeries and interacted with numerous patients and healthcare specialists in the natural and conventional medical areas. These experiences motivated him to pursue a Bachelor's Degree of Sciences in Psychology to understand human conduct, habit, and lifestyle before graduating with his Master's Degree. Jose previously worked in Education, as a teacher, in a non-profit organization, as a social worker, and as a psychologist's assistant. He has studied and lived abroad twice and boasts numerous years of volunteer experiences in the healthcare setting.

Jose Vargas Ton is passionate about promoting a heathy lifestyle and improving health through an integrative healing medical approach to cultivate mind, body, and spirit.
